Dr. Cyriac Joseph Vempala, Vice Principal, specialises in Economics and has 32 years of teaching experience at Post Graduate level. His areas of specialisation include Formal Demography, Development Economics and International Economics. He completed Three Minor Research Projects funded by University Grants Commission. He has been recognized as a Research Guide in Economics in Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam , Karpagam University, Coimbatore and Bhararhiar University, Coimbatore. At present six scholars are pursuing PhD under his supervision. He has published more than 15 papers in various recognized national and international journals and has also presented different papers for national seminars. He was honoured with “VIDYA RATAN AWARD” for individual contribution towards education and health by The Economics for Health and Educational Growth, New Delhi in 2012.
