RESEARCH INTERESTS:

  • In early research (1997-2000), I skated the intersection between corporate finance, corporate strategy, and financial analysis, brought forth by empirical work of the Indian business groups. It was found that Indian business group’s product diversification was negatively related to their profitability and shareholder value. Apart from co-authoring books and keeping them abreast of developments in those domains, case studies were also taken up (2001-13). Moving on, research interests embraced capital market anomalies, corporate governance, and developmental issues of public interest (2003-14) and thus, I ended up learning on topical topics such as land acquisitions, microfinance, mobile value-added services, and review of a government scheme. Going forward, I would focus learning & research interests on issues under the realm of ‘Leadership within Public Spaces’ with large scale social
impact; such as Public Administration & Leadership linkages. Currently, I do real-life case studies by shadowing public administration leaders; also creating database about civil servants for empirical research in the long-run. I am also consolidating my past empirical research to impact journal publications.
